Museum of Natural History

National Museum of National History, a museum in the National Mall in Washington, DC managed by Smithsonian Institution contains a vast collection of flora and fauna, fossils, minerals, rocks, meteorites and human cultural artifacts.

One of the most popular display here is the Hope Diamond, a 45.52 carat deep blue diamond. It is said that the diamond is cursed and brings bad luck to its owners who historically each had their own strike of its curse.

National Gallery of Art

National Gallery of Art is a museum in located in the National Mall of Washington, DC housing different articles relating to art like paintings, sculptures, etc. Owned by the national government, this is one of the few "must-see" landmarks in the mall that is not managed by the Smithsonian Institution.

National Air and Space Museum and Treasures of American History

National Air and Space Museum contains the largest collection of aircraft and spacecrafts in the world. It is my most favorite museum among the Smithsonians because ever since I was a kid, I've always dreamt of flying.

Treasures of American History is an exhibit showcasing artifacts that are either crucial or historically important in American History. The artifacts were from the National Museum of American History which was back then under renovation so they brought the articles for exhibit in a hall of National Air and Space Museum. This said exhibit is already closed and the items were already transferred back to its original museum.
