Statue of Liberty

Day 2 of our trip in New York, we decided to visit the Statue of Liberty. Officially known as Liberty Enlightening the World, the statue was a present to the United States by France as a gesture of the friendship of the 2 countries. It is also one of the most symbolic and iconic landmarks of the US.

The statue is located in Liberty Island and is a ferry ride away from Manhattan. We went to Battery Park and to Castle Clinton to claim our tickets and ride the ferry going to the statue.
